Welcome to the 2009 University of New Orleans UNO Film Festival
The UNO Film Festival is an opportunity for local, national and international independent film makers to showcase their work before an open minded, film savvy audience, and to promote a spirit of community amongst film enthusiasts in the New Orleans area.

Screening Committee finished
So we held our screening committee over this past weekend. We have a preliminary sheet of results, but the finality of those results is pending on the results of the faculty's descisions as per which films they will be calling dibbs on for their portion of the festival. By Monday night we'll be posting a full list of which films will be playing and when.

I don't know what to say aside from: COME SEE THE FESTIVAL MAY 2nd & 3rd!
... and if you happen to be a filmmaker of any kind: SUBMIT YOUR FILMS!!!

We'll be taking submissions up untill the 25th, so please SEND US YOUR WORK!

Please include contact information, a brief synopsis, total run time, a UNO Student ID (if necessary), and a check payable to "UNO Filmmakers". We will accept cash, but are not responsible for loss through the mailing system.

Early Bird Deadline (postmark): February 15th. $10
Regular Deadline (postmark): April 4th. $15
April 20th: Extended Deadline (postmark): $25
Submission formats (starts with most preferred): DVD / Betacam SP / digital file types importable to Avid Media Composer (example: .mov, .avi) / Mini DV / VHS (SP ONLY)
